Caroline (Watson) Mailen, age 95, and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, April 27, in the Heritage Villa Nursing Center, Bartlesville.

Caroline Watson was born on March 28, 1919 in Cherryvale, Kansas. She was the daughter of Orley H. and Hazel (Foval) Watson. Her public education occurred in Cherryvale, Kansas, Coffeyville, Kansas and Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She graduated in 1937 from Bartlesville High School. After her high school graduation, she took college courses in business and general education in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
On November 16, 1963, Caroline married Tyson H. Mailen, Sr. He preceded her in death in 2000. Caroline was a long-time employee of Phillips Petroleum Company, where she was secretary to the Engineering Department. Her employment with Phillips lasted 30 years.
Caroline was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Bartlesville.
Survivors include one son, Tarry W. Tayrien of Kansas City, Missouri; one step-son, Tysun H. Mailen of Aurora, Colorado; one granddaughter, Teri Thomas of Bartlesville; and two great granddaughters, Amanda Thomas and Jaclynn Thomas also of Bartlesville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to Shriners Hospital in remembrance of Caroline's husband, Tyson H. Mailen and her father, Orley H. Watson.
Visitation for Mrs. Mailen will be held on Friday from 6-8:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 3, at noon, in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
