Cleve J. Crouch, Jr. 84, resident of Oglesby, died at 7:53 P.M. on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville.
Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday at the Oglesby Cemetery with Rev. Charles Cunningham officiating. Funeral services and interment will be directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Visitation will be at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9 A.M. until 8 P.M.
Mr. Crouch was born at Oglesby on January 24, 1932 the son of Cleve and Mollie (McCullough) Crouch. He grew up and received his education in the Oglesby and Ramona areas and was also active in construction work. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict and was awarded a Purple Heart for a disabling gunshot wound there. Following his Retirement Discharge he returned to the Oglesby area and was married to Edna Jeanette Moody in Bartlesville on February 7, 1956. They made their home in Bartlesville, Dewey, Nowata and then Oglesby. He had worked as a DJ at a radio station in Nowata, was active for many years as a ham radio operator and enjoyed attending the Nowata Opry.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edna J. Crouch of the home, one son, Ronnie Crouch and wife Carol of Lindale, Texas, one daughter, Sonia Renee Davis and husband Phillip of Bartlesville, four grandchildren, James Davis, Justin Davis, Natalie Davis and Echo Davis, one brother, Bill Crouch of Oglesby, and two sisters, Barbara Rogers and husband Charles of Ramona and Amy Ruth Lawson and husband Don of Ramona. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Watie Crouch and Edward Crouch and two sisters, Margaret Miller and Lucille Cunningham.
