Dale Eugene Swieter, 78, of Dewey died Friday March 15, 2013 in Bartlesville.

Funeral services for Mr. Swieter will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday March 19, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Dewey, with Pastor Mark Wright, minister of the church officiating. Interment will be in the Dewey Cemetery in Dewey under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Full Military honors will be presented at the graveside by the members of the James H. Teel Post #105 of the Bartlesville American Legion.

Mr. Swieter was born on May 7, 1934 at Lake View, Iowa, where he was raised and received his education, graduating High School there with the Class of 1953. He later attended the DeVry Technological College, where he majored in electronics engineering, completing his Technical School training in 1956. In 1956 he joined the U.S. Army where he served for three years until his Honorable Discharge in 1959. He was married to Annabelle Eloise Earls on June 14, 1958 at El Paso Texas. They had been married over 54 years, celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2008. The Swieter's made their home in various places after their marriage as he worked as a military defense electronics contract worker for a number of years. He began his work career with Phillips Petroleum Company in 1973, and worked for Phillips and Applied Automation for 25 years until his retirement in 1998. They made their home in Dewey for the past 41 years, where he was a very active member of First Baptist Church in Dewey; where he served as a greeter, and a Deacon for many years. Mr. Swieter had been in ill health for the past year.
Mr. Swieter is survived by his wife Mrs. Annabelle Eloise Swieter of the home in Dewey, by two daughters and their husbands, Mrs. Susan Wadsworth, and her husband Robert of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, and by Mrs. Donna Wynn, and her husband Bobby of Bartlesville, by four grandchildren and their spouses, Christopher and Alisha Wadsworth of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Daniel and Rebecca Wadsworth of Bartlesville, Brandon and Amanda Wynn of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Megan and J. R. Brown, of Skiatook, Oklahoma and by a great granddaughter, Chanley Brown, of Skiatook. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a sister Virginia Koll.
