Eldean "A.E." Geyer, 85, formerly of Sheldon, MO, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 26, 2013, at his home in Greenfield, MO. He was born on September 29, 1927, in Clayton, NM, to Ed Geyer and Mae Price Geyer. He married Pauline Holland on June 21, 1953, in Sheldon, MO. She preceded him in death on August 19, 2005.
Eldean was a 1946 graduate of Sheldon High School. He served in the U. S. Army for two years, stationed in Okinawa following WW II. He lived in Dewey, OK, and worked for Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville for 36 years until his retirement in 1992. Eldean was a member of the Sheldon Methodist Church and the United Methodist Church in Dewey, OK. His was also a member of the Sheldon Masonic Lodge #371 AF&AM and the American Legion Post #0175. Eldean has lived in Greenfield, MO, for the past 16 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Dana Jones and her husband Page, Fairgrove, MO; one grandson, Justice Jones, and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Rev. Bill Platt officiating. Interment will follow in Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon, MO. Friends may call now until the hour of service and the family receives friends from 5-6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the funeral home.
Those who wish may contribute to the Sheldon Cemetery Association in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
