Evelyn Kay Snodgrass, 71, of Bartlesville, died at 11:08 A.M. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the Labadie Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Mike McNair and Johnathan Long officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Casket escorts will include Burnie Snodgrass, Johnathan Long, Angela Long, Victoria Henley, Byron Hansen, Amber Snodgrass, Daniel Snodgrass and Zachary Long.
The family will receive guests for visitation at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Monday from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M.
Mrs. Snodgrass was born on July 15, 1941 at Bartlesville to Margaret Alene (Cochran) and Ernest Lewis Jester. She grew up in Bartlesville and attended Labadie Heights Elementary School, Central Junior High and College High School where she graduated in 1959. She was married to Burnie Joe Snodgrass on March 10, 1961 at the Church of the Bretheran in Bartlesville. They made their home in the Bartlesville area and Mr. Snodgrass preceded her in death on February 1, 2009. She was the family historian and photographer and was active with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Labadie Heights Baptist Church and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Diana Long and husband, Steve of Bartlesville and April Snodgrass of Dewey, one son, Ernie Floyd Snodgrass and wife Tami of Bartlesville, an adopted son, Ron Swisher of Connecticut, two brothers, Andy Jester of Bartlesville and Joe Jester of Shamrock, Texas, two sisters, Lois Lofton of Waynesville, Missouri and Carol Eller of Assumption, Illinois, an Uncle, Jackie Cochran of Bartlesville, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
