Everett "Kay" Hansen passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in the Dewey Cemetery with Pastor Mark Bright officiating. Military rites will be presented by American Legion Post 105 Honor Guard. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home. The family kindly requests no flowers for the service. Everett Kay Hansen was born September 18, 1932 in Copan, OK to Will and Minnie (Kegley) Hansen. Kay proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He married Shirley Yvonne Bradshaw on September 3, 1955 in Bartlesville. Kay dedicated 38 years of service to Reda Pump working as a machinist. He loved his granddaughters, enjoyed building model airplanes and was a member of the Copan Falcon Model Airplane Club. Kay was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed working on cars and going to classic car shows. Kay is survived by his wife Shirley of the home. One daughter, LaDonna Hambrick of Ventura, CA and two granddaughters; Erin Hambrick of Lexington Park, MD and Melinda Hambrick of Ventura, CA. One brother-in-law, Jim Bradshaw of Bartlesville, two sisters-in-law; Doris Cobb of Centerview, MO and Betty Marr of Warrensburg, MO. He was blessed with numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Kay was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
