Fay H. Burtch passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at St. John Catholic Church with Father Festus Maliwa officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Elder Care, 1223 Swan Drive, Bartlesville, OK 74006.
Fay Helen Burtch was born February 18, 1927 in Centerville, SD to John W. and Nell (Young) Burnett. She married Fred "Bill" Burtch on July 22, 1950 at St. Joseph Cathedral in Sioux Falls, SD. Fay was a member of St. John Catholic Church and their Women's Association. Fay was very proud of her Irish heritage. Her religious faith and family were of utmost importance to Fay. As a Bridge Club member, she was an avid Bridge player that also enjoyed dancing and gardening.
Fay is survived by four daughters; Mary Ellen and husband James Taylor of Tulsa, Cathy and husband Steve Gardner of Colcord, OK, Becky and husband Wyatt Woods of Broken Arrow, Peggy Burtch of Bartlesville and one son, John T. Burtch and wife Euneson of Oahu, HI. She was blessed with twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Fay was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Burtch, son, Bill Burtch, grandson, Kenneth Gardner, two sisters and two brothers.
The family would like recognize Elder Care, Heritage Villa Nursing Center and Jane Phillips Medical Center for care given to Fay. For the many friends who came to visit and support her through the years, the family would like to extend a very special "Thank You".

Sorry to hear of the lost of Mrs. Burtch. The Bible tells us “Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you.” One of the principal ways to draw close to God is thorough prayer. Do not underestimate its value!

Fay's Family,
I have missed Fay for years, as I am sure you all have too. She will be missed even more now, but her legacy and sweet memories will last forever by those who remember her and spent time with her Gardening with her are my fondest memories of her. I am sure there is a garden for her in her new place.
