Mrs. Gladys Bernice Greenburg, 87, died at 6:55 P.M. on Thursday, August 15, 2013 in Bartlesville.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in the Dewey Cemetery Pavilion with Chaplain Mike McDougan of Cornerstone Hospice officiating. Interment will be in the Dewey Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Gladys Bernice Greenburg was born March 24, 1926 at Chicago, Illinois to Louis and Louise (Uecker) Mueller. She was raised and received her education in Chicago, graduating high school there in 1942. Mrs. Greenburg was employed at the Federal Reserve Bank during WWII. She met and married James V. Greenburg on November 10, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois. They moved to Kansas and made their home in Elk Falls and Caney, Kansas until moving to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1954. Mrs. Greenburg was employed with Sherwin-Williams Paint Store from 1956 to 1969. She was employed with REDA Pump Company in the billing department in 1972 until retiring due to illness. In 1989 they moved to Tyro, Kansas where she served on the city council.
Survivors include; two sons Jimmy Greenburg of Claremore, Oklahoma and William P. Greenburg of League City, Texas; one daughter Carol Meadors of Dewey, Oklahoma; one sister Lois Pratt of Cincinnati, Ohio ; three sisters-in-law Margie Welch, Joan Newkirk and Myra Leathers all of Elk City, Kansas; one brother-in-law H. (Jay) Greenburg of Spokane, Washington; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
