Glenn Edward Rigdon
Glenn Edward Rigdon, 73, of Bartlesville, died at 2:55 A.M. on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at his home.
Funeral services for Mr. Rigdon will be held at 10 A. M. on Monday, December 17, 2012 at the East Cross United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike McDougan and Mr. Dan Snider officiating. Interment will be in the Dewey Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Casket escorts will include Tim Rigdon, Mark Rigdon, Greg Rigdon, Criss Davis, Austin McKeon, Dalton McKeon and Steve Russell. Honorary casket escorts will include Kent Rigdon, Jeff Halligan, David Miller, Scott Parks, Kevin Parks, Jim Parks, Hunter Kincaid and Rodney Lacey.

Mr. Rigdon was born at Dewey, Oklahoma on September 26, 1939 the son of Waneta Anna (Fields) and Frank Allen Rigdon. He grew up in the Caney, Kansas area where he graduated from high school in 1957. He moved to Bartlesville in 1959 and was employed with Roto-Rooter and then with Phillips Petroleum Company in 1962. He held several positions with Phillips until his retirement in March of 1993 as the line foreman at the airport. He was also a stock car racing enthusiast with which he was involved from 1966 until 1973. Mr. Rigdon was married to Phyllis Rae (Parks) Campbell on August 18, 1978 in Bartlesville and they have made their home in Bartlesville since that time. Following his retirement from Phillips he remodeled and sold houses. He was also active for a number of years in maintaining the American Legion Baseball field at the Bartlesville Municipal Stadium. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially the monthly birthday gatherings with his siblings. He was always willing to help someone fix their car or their house.
Mr. Rigdon is survived by his wife, Mrs. Phyllis Rigdon of the home, six children, Tami Rigdon McKeon and her husband, R. Clark McKeon of Welch, Oklahoma, Shelley Rigdon Purdum and husband John of Dewey, Kimberly Campbell Bentley and husband Rodney of Dewey, Travis Rigdon and wife Tammy of Bartlesville, Steve Campbell and wife Melissa of Bartlesville and Spence Rigdon and wife Christina of Bartlesville, one brother, Keith Rigdon and wife Sonya of Coffeyville, Kansas, three sisters, Beverly Halligan and Norma Russell and her husband, B.J. all of Caney, Kansas and Delores Miller and husband Otis of Bella Vista, Arkansas, three sister-in-laws, Viola Rigdon of Caney, Kansas, Luella Howarth of Bartlesville and Linda Selby and husband, Mike of Copan, a brother-in-law, Harold Parks and wife Karen of Dewey, 16 grandchildren, Dalton McKeon and wife Sherry, Emma McKeon, Austin McKeon, Hunter Kincaid, Tanna Kincaid Arundell and husband Cody, Josh Purdum, Jacob Purdum, Josiah Purdum, Ella Purdum, Taylor Rigdon, Madison Rigdon, Drew Campbell, Corban Campbell, Rilee Rigdon, Bradee Rigdon and Cy Rigdon, and one great grandchild, Rylan Kincaid, numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Rigdon was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Dean Rigdon, and three brother-in-laws, Joe Halligan, Harry Howarth and Bill Parks.
