Kenneth Darrel Gaut

1923 - 2017

Kenneth Darrel Gaut, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, died January 16, 2017 at The Journey Home, Bartlesville.
Mr. Gaut was born September 13, 1923, in Agra, Oklahoma, to William Benjamin Gaut and Ione Belle Gaut. He attended schools in Wann, Oklahoma and Nowata, Oklahoma, where he graduated from High School. He served three years in the Navy during World War II and one year in the Navy during the Korean War.
After his discharge from the Navy in 1946, he went to work for Phillips Petroleum Company where he worked for 39 years before retiring in 1985.
On October 3, 1947, he married Juanita Imogene Thompson. They had two sons.
Mr. Gaut enjoyed gardening and sharing fresh produce from his garden with friends and neighbors. He was an active member of the Adams Boulevard Church of Christ for many years.
Survivors include: His wife, Juanita (Nita), one son, Steven Karl Gaut and wife, Sarah, of Peachtree Corners, Georgia; two granddaughters, Claire Gaut of Washington, D.C.; Paige Gaut of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, Robert Gaut and wife, Jean, of Gardner, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gaut was preceded in death by one infant son, Darrel Bruce; his parents, four brothers and one sister.
The funeral services will be held at Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Mr. Dave Hammonds officiating. Burial will be held in Memorial Park cemetery.
The family would welcome memorials be sent to Hope Children's Home, Claremore, Oklahoma.
