Mr. Kenneth Edward Phillips, 78, of Bartlesville, died at 8:50 A.M. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the Medicalodge of Dewey.

Funeral services for Mr. Phillips will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, April 19, 2013 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Mike Gregory of Carter Hospice officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mr. Phillips was born on June 6, 1934 at Edmond, Oklahoma to Lee Vern and Eda (Burch) Phillips. He grew up and received his education in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Iowa. He attended the University of Missouri at Columbia, Missouri where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Geology. Mr. Phillips served in the United States Navy from which he received an Honorable Discharge. He was married to Ann Carolyn Oldham at Memphis, Tennessee on March 20, 1965. Mr. Phillips was employed with Phillips Petroleum Company at Des Moines, Iowa and at Memphis, Tennessee and later transferred with the company to Bartlesville where he retired as a computer programmer in 1986. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, helping friends with computer work and he loved his dogs. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife, Ann C. Jones of Bartlesville, one brother, Lee Phillips of Allen, Texas, one sister, Lois Ann Hyatt of Garland, Texas, three nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his parents.
