It is with wonderful, fond memories and a deep sense of loss that we remember the remarkable life of Lalitha Vasudevan, wife mother, grandmother, and mother in-law, who re-entered the spiritual realm on June 24, 2013. Her latest journey on this earth in our company has ended and she is continuing her sojourn to be fulfilled with everlasting peace and happiness in God's loving embrace.
She was born to K.S. Sankaranarayanan Iyer and Valliammal in Tamil Nadu, India. She was married in 1959 and came to the USA with her husband and two children in 1970, settling in Pittsburg, Kansas. She moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1980, and subsequently spent the largest portion of her life here in the company of many close friends and a loving extended family that included six grandchildren, and a grand nephew.
She is pre-deceased by her parents, and a brother, K.S.Subramanian. Her remaining family includes husband, K. Vasudevan; son Gopi Vasudevan, his wife Mini, and their children Janaki, her husband William Cash, Shiva, and Vishnu; daughter Sujatha, her husband Kumar Krishnan, and their children Sreeram, Ambika and Priyanka; and grand nephew Gopal Chandrashekaran and his wife Remya.
We have all been blessed by the light of her presence and profoundly enriched by her comfort, kindness, and love. Her patience, wisdom and truly forgiving nature will especially be missed. Our lives are more empty in her absence but we rejoice in the knowledge that we will be reunited again eternally. May she always be blessed with God's love and grace.
A memorial fund has been established in Lalitha's name. For those wishing to contribute, checks should be made out to INSAF, (Indian Schools Alumni and Friends), and mailed to: "Sree Niwasum", 351 County Road 3550, Bartlesville, OK, 74003, USA. Contributions are tax deductible. No flowers please.
