Leonard "Bud" Jay Goad, formerly of Newkirk, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014, at the Community Health Center in Wakita, OK. He was 74.

The son of Raney I. J. Goad, Sr. and Lillie Mable (Dollie Tousley) Goad, Leonard "Bud" was born April 23, 1939 in Ponca City.
He is survived by son, Brady Alan Goad and wife, Kelly of Newkirk, daughter, Taryn Mindi and husband, Frank (Cass) Midgley of Murfreesboro, TN, and son, Matthew Jason Goad and wife, Connie of Edmond; sisters Edith McGee and Frank Hickman of Lodi, CA, Dollie Jane Testerman and her husband, Ronnie of Newkirk, one brother, Bob Tousley and his wife Patricia of Valley Center, CA, brother-in-law Leroy "Red" Reynolds of Okay, sisters-in-law, Judy Goad of Hominy and Jami Weaver of Bartlesville, grandchildren include Maxx Jay Goad, Lydia Midgley, Bethany Midgley, Rachel Midgley, John Midgley, Joshua Goad and Olivia Goad and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers (Garry Lee Goad, Wesley Wayne Goad, Raney I.J. Goad, Jr., and Raymond Earl Goad,) and two sisters, Coeta Reynolds and Clara Mae Smith.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ's Church in Newkirk. Funeral arrangements were provided by Trout Funeral Home of Ponca City.
