Lewis Lyle Hayes, 86, resident of Bartlesville, died Thursday, April 4, 2013 in Bartlesville.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 8, 2013 in the Oak Park United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Lusnia officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Lewis Lyle Hayes was born December 29, 1926 at Ponca City, Oklahoma to Lawrence Lyle and Vera Aurelia (Aupperle) Hayes. He was raised and received his early education in Newkirk, Oklahoma until moving to Wichita, Kansas where he graduated High School in 1944. Mr. Hayes Entered the U.S. Navy on March 11, 1944 and was honorably discharged on July 22, 1946. He attended Kansas State University where he received degrees in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration in January 1951. In 1951 he moved to Bartlesville and began his career with Phillips Petroleum Company. He was married to Donna Dee Reid on March 3, 1951 at Hutchinson, Kansas and they have made their home in Bartlesville since that time. Mr. Hayes was a charter member of the Oak Park United Methodist Church, the Bartlesville Masonic Lodge # 284 AF & AM., and the Order of the Eastern Star # 142.
Survivors include his wife Donna Dee Hayes of the family home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma; one son William C. Hayes of Nebo, North Carolina; one daughter Leslie Eileen Brewer of The Woodlands, Texas; one brother William Lawrence Hayes of Wichita, Kansas; one sister Lyla Marie Sparks of Newkirk, Oklahoma; four grandchildren Robert William Brewer Jr., Jonathan Lewis Brewer, Melanie Renee Hayes and Christopher William Hayes; two great-grandchildren Savannah Leigh Hayes and Caroline Renee Hayes.
