Linda Ruth Virden was born January 1, 1956, in Gunnison, Colorado, to Billy Gene and Eva Mae (Winters) Tatum. She died Saturday, November 16, 2013, in Ochelata, Oklahoma, at the age of 57 years. Linda was reared and educated in Ramona, Oklahoma, and was a graduate of Caney Valley High School. She completed her education at Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma. Linda spent most of her working life as a homemaker and caring for her family. She was active with Caney Valley schools as a substitute teacher and librarian. She also served as a volunteer with the Caney Valley Athletic Association as a team parent, board member, concession stand operator, and several other capacities. She also worked as a softball umpire.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Matt Tatum
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Vera Full Gospel Fellowship in Vera, Oklahoma, with Pastor Jim Rowe officiating.
