Maxine Moret, age 90, resident of Bartlesville Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday September 19, 2013.
Maxine Winton was born on January 12, 1923 in Monett, Missouri. She was the daughter of Glover D. Winton and Myrtle Lela (Mulkey) Winton.
Maxine graduated from Monett Missouri High School in 1939. She furthered her education by attending Monett Junior College where she received her Associates degree in Education. She worked in school systems in both Missouri and Iowa.
November 26, 1942, Maxine and George Moret were united in marriage in St. Louis, Missouri.
She was a member of East Cross United Methodist Church in Bartlesville, Methodist Women's Circle, DAR, National TTT Society, and the Des Moines Iowa Women's Club. She enjoyed playing bridge, golf, gardening, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; and four siblings, Charles Everett Winton, William Ralph Winton, Norma Dee Muench, and Anna Margaret (Marnie) Diaz. She is survived by her two children, Mitch Moret and his wife, Ann, of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and Dana Fitzmaurice and her husband, Tom, of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, Erin Rotunno, Jason Fitzmaurice, Adam Moret, and Ellen White; and two great-grandchildren, Liam and Rowan.
Memorials in Mrs. Moret's name may be made to the National TTT Society, 811 East Washington St., Mount Pleasant, Iowa 52641; or to East Cross United Methodist Church, 820 South Madison Blvd., Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74006.
Services for Mrs. Moret will be held on Monday, September 23rd, at 10 AM, at East Cross United Methodist Church, Bartlesville. Pastor Chad Perceful will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arnold Moore and Neekamp Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 8 PM.
