Michael D. "Mike" White, age 64 and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2013.

Michael Dewayne White was born November 21, 1948 in Selma, California. He was the son of Ernest Eugene White and Thelma Louise (Townley) White. He grew up in California where he received his education. He entered the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam, and after receiving his honorable discharge, he returned to California. In the the mid-'70s, he moved to Bartlesville where he has been a resident since that time.
Mike married Rosa Ellen Davis and they had one son. Rosa preceded Mike in death. He was a long-time employee of the Dewey Public School system in their maintenance department, retiring after 13 years as a loyal employee. At the time of his death he worked part-time at the R&D Sanitation Company.
Mike was a member of the Bartlesville VFW. He enjoyed fishing and mowing yards (and he even took care of his neighbors' yards for them). He also enjoyed spending time with family, especially enjoying Sunday dinners.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Louise; and his sister, Vickie Dawn Irwin on June 21, 2013. He is survived by his dad, Gene, of the family home; son, Shawn White and his wife, Paula, of Bartlesville; three grandchildren, Theresa Golden, Ethel Golden and Ashley Golden; two sisters, Gala Jean Blom and her husband, Steve, of Colorado and Peggy Louise Sherman of Dewey, Oklahoma; and many other loving family members and friends.
Memorial services for Mr. White will be held at LaQuinta Inn, Bartlesville, in the conference room, on Monday, from 2-4 PM. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.
