Pansy M. Loyd joined her awaiting husband, Alvin, in heaven on April 16, 2012. She still referred to Bartlesville as home however, in 1998 she and Alvin moved to Tomball, TX to be near family that loved them.
Pansy was born in Ramona, OK to Cecil and Florence (Simpson) Juby. Pansy was one of eight children raised in the Osage Hills near Sunset Lake on the family's oil lease. Her early education was at Herd School. She graduated from Pawhuska High School where she was on the basketball team. She continued educating herself throughout, still taking computer classes at Tomball College.
Surviving Pansy are her sisters and families Norma Buno, Seattle WA, Margaret McKibben, Norman OK. Edna Hatcher, Nowata Ok, Daughters: Louise Varner, Collinsville, OK and Greg and Rhonda Lankford, Tomball TX. Grandchildren and families of Jacob and Barbara Loyd; Levi Loyd; Dustin Loyd; Ricky and Katie Varner Misty Varner; Lincoln, Barrett and Mason Lankford; and Caleb Pace, as well as great-grandmother to 8.
Those that were blessed to know Pansy knew a person who laughed, had a green thumb, loved crossword puzzles, crocheting, building puzzles, playing games, having conversations with her sisters and grandchildren. They also knew about her grandsons band (FolkFamilyRevival.com) as she never missed a concert. She enjoyed games, lunch and trips with her group of loving friends from the Tomball Community Center. It was common for her to travel and laugh for miles with her daughter Rhonda. She loved family gatherings and unselfishly served her son Dan during his extended illness. A Member of Eastern Heights then First Baptist in Tomball, Tx.
She was preceded in death by Alvin, Mark, Dan, Her parents and her siblings George, Joan, Dorothy and Bessie
Join us for Graveside celebration of her life April 23 Visitation begins at 9am, Memorial for her and Dan at 10 am at Memorial Park, Bartlesville Ok.
