Scott Allen (Buck) Simpson, 44, passed away Saturday morning December 15,
2012 at 6:31A.M. in Bartlesville.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the
Grace Community Church in Bartlesville with Dr/ Rod MacIlvaine pastor of Grace Community Church,
and Father Archie Fernandez of St. James Catholic Church officiating.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Friday December 21, in Houston, Texas at the
Memorial Oaks Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Scott's family will receive guests from 6:00 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday,
December 19 2012 at the Stumpff Funeral Home.
Scott was born April 5, 1968 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he grew up and
received his education. After graduating from Westlake High School in 1986, he attended
Louisiana State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical
and Electrical Engineering. Scott began his career in the Information Technology
Department at Conoco Oil Company, Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1997. The progression
of his career with ConocoPhillips took him to Katy, Texas, Borger Texas and then
ultimately to Bartlesville. His current position was Director, Desktop Computing for
Phillips 66 at the time of his death.
Scott was married to Jennifer Calhoun on December 31, 1997 in Sulphur, Louisiana.
He loved life, family and friends and took great pleasure in cooking and outdoor grilling
for all. Among his other enjoyments were skeet shooting, hunting, computer games and
riding motorcycles. He was a loving husband, father, son & brother and will be
remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, fun loving nature, compassion and
Scott is survived by his wife Jennifer Calhoun Simpson, a daughter Mackenzie
Drew Simpson, and a son Jack Ryan Simpson; his mother and father, Jim and Linda
Loescher Buck of Vidor, Texas, by four brothers, Steven Brent Simpson of Palmer,
Alaska, Charles Allen Simpson of Denver, Colorado, Benjamin William Buck of Kansas
City, Missouri, Henry Paul Buck of Camp Pendleton, California, and; three sisters, Sandra
Buck Dugas of Lafayette, Louisiana, Stephanie Buck Pritchard of Apopka, Florida, and
Jennifer Buck Carpenter of Leavenworth, Kansas, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs.
Cecilia Loescher of Vidor, Texas, and his mother and father-in-law, Sandra (Sam) and
Ronald Armer of Sulphur, Louisiana.
