Stephen Ellis Conner, age 65, passed from this life to his eternal home August 14, 2013 at C. A. Montgomery Veterans Hospital Muskogee Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 19, 2013 in the First United Methodist Church in Claremore, Oklahoma with Dr. George Warren and Dr. Ray Crawford officiating. Interment will be in the Ramona Cemetery at 3:30 PM on Monday, under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established, and those who wish to make a contribution in memory of Mr. Conner may do so to: Patriot Guard Riders of Oklahoma 616 NW 21st, Moore, Oklahoma 73160.
He was preceded in death by his parents Barbara and Eugene Conner, and a sister Karen Jeanne Bell.
He is survived by his wife Rev. Judy Conner of Morris, Oklahoma, daughter April and husband Lynn Coulter of Ramona Oklahoma, son Nick Conner and wife Natalie of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Five grandchildren, Mariah Coulter, Shelbie Coulter, Levi Coulter, Avery Kearbey and Michael Conner. One brother Roger Conner and wife Raquel of Moore Oklahoma, and one sister Sandy and husband Rickey Wood of Dewey. Seven nieces and nephews: Sonya Owens, Kara Watson, Amber Quillin, Kevin Wood, Kristen Conner, Jamie Conner and Bobby Conner and a host of friends from around the world.
Steve served in the United States Navy for four years and was stationed on board the USS Constellation during the Viet Nam Conflict. He was employed at Reda Pump 26 years, at Woodgroup ESP for 9 years and began S C Consulting in 2008. Steve traveled extensively and was well known in the ESP industry. Steve was a member in the United Methodist Church, International Society of Petroleum Engineers, and Rogers County Wood working group, Patriot Guard Riders, Volunteer Fireman and Caney
