Steven Wayne Lockin was born on June 30, 1952 at the US Naval Hospital in Oakland, California the son of Ted & Maxine (Dillon) Lockin. On October 21, 1986, Ted and Maxine Lockin were advised their 34 year old son, Steven was destined to be a nursing home resident for the rest of his life after suffering a major stroke. Fortunately, Steve didn't buy into that and proceeded to move onward. Every day was a challenge which he faced with courage and dignity. He was the family answer man for animals, fishing, hunting, cars, guitars, motorcycles, reptiles, and trivia. He was a people person. This K.U. graduate accepted his move to Oklahoma, becoming a vital asset in the family business. Until health issues cropped up again he cherished each and every day. He recently celebrated his 60th birthday as we honored his fortitude and spirit. He will live on in the hearts of his parents Ted and Maxine Lockin; his brother Doug and wife Pat, sister Ann Hacker and husband Craig, and sister Linda Ricks and husband Charles. His five nieces Celeste and Julia Lockin, Angela and Laura Ricks, and Lisa Hacker and nephews Darren Hacker, Chris Hacker his wife Abril and their children Julian Hacker and Zoey Hacker. Family and friends will cherish his memory.
