A service was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Dewey with Father Jose Thottathil officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
Theresa was born in Detroit, MI, May 31, 1929. She was the oldest of three children born to William and Nancy (McCarthy) Callahan. She and her brother and sister attended St. Henry's Catholic Parish and school. There she received the Sacraments of Communion and Confirmation. Theresa and her family moved to Tucson, AZ in the mid 1940's due to her mother's poor health; an effort to ease her respiratory conditions.
In 1947 Theresa graduated from Tucson High School. She was employed at the local telephone company for some time and met and married Everett Anderson in June, 1951. Together they had two children, Julie in 1961 and Thomas in 1970. Theresa loved to travel and as an Air Force Officer's wife, she was able to live overseas and travel throughout the Orient. She retired in Tucson and continued to enjoy touring with groups. An Alaskan cruise and New England river boat trip were two of her favorite journeys. Her dream was to travel to Ireland to visit the birthplace of her mother and grandparents.
In 1995 Theresa moved from Tucson, AZ to Mesa, AZ to be close to her children and three grandchildren. In 2003 her daughter Julie, son-in-law Bill and their three children moved to Bartlesville, OK and Theresa followed one year later. She loved the Bartlesville community and was actively involved in the lives of her grandchildren.
Theresa is survived by her sister, Marie (Callahan) Nordbrock, brother-in-law, Derald Nordbrock, sister-in-law, Barb Callahan, son, Thomas Anderson, daughter, Julie (Anderson) Heath, son-in-law, Bill Heath and grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christopher and Katie Heath.
