Mrs. Karla French Anderson passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the age of 59.
Funeral services for Karla will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, March 3, 2014 at the Word of Truth Fellowship in Bartlesville with the Rev. Charles Richey and Rev. Kyle Rowe officiating. Interment will be in the Ramona Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Casket escorts will include Corey Stukey, James Hemphill, Mark McMillan, Brandon Smith, Cody Lemmons and Mike Stacy.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Word of Truth Fellowship Building Fund, 16097 N.E. Bison Road, Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74006.
Karla was born on September 17, 1954 at Scott Air Force Base at Belleville, Illinois. She was the eldest child of Don L. and Claudine (Teeter) French. Karla graduated from Caney Valley High School in 1972 and began cosmetology training in Tulsa the same year. She later attended Tri County Technology in Bartlesville where she developed her secretarial education. Jim and Karla Anderson were married in the fall of 1972 and made their home in Ramona, Oklahoma. Karla was employed with Chevron Phillips Chemical Company as an administrative assistant for Global Polyethylene Applications in Bartlesville. Karla enjoyed quilting, her grandchildren who were her pride and joy, and was active in her church and loved her Word of Fellowship church family. She was married to the love of her life for 41 years.
Karla is survived by her husband, Jim, of the home; two children, Heather (Anderson) Hill and husband Ray of Welch, Oklahoma; and Amber (Anderson) Tinsley and husband Jason of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; one brother, David Kaye French and wife Margie of Lenapah, Oklahoma;, a sister, Cindy Bloyd and husband Mike of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and four grandchildren, Lexie Tinsley, Caden Tinsley, Dallas Hill and Sierra Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents.
