Mrs. Ada Louise Taylor, 82, of Oglesby, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at her home following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the Oglesby Assembly of God Church with Rev. Joe Goodin officiating. Interment will be in the Oglesby Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mrs. Taylor was born at Bartlesville on February 9, 1932 to William A. and Lela (Ballard) Olson. She grew up and received her education in the New Harmony and Oglesby areas and graduated from College High School in Bartlesville She later attended night classes at Oklahoma Wesleyan University and was employed with the State of Oklahoma Department of Human Services in Bartlesville for a number of years until her retirement. She was married to Bob Jess Taylor on August 19, 1955 and they made their home in the Oglesby area for all of their married life. Mr. Taylor preceded her in death on February 21, 2014. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Oglesby Assembly of God Church. She loved to fish, garden, ride horses and take care of her grandchildren.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by two sons, Robert Alan Taylor and wife Kathy of Oglesby and William Jess Taylor of Oglesby, one daughter, Myrna L. Coble and husband Bill of Oglesby, two sisters, Thelma Sumpter and husband Carl of Oglesby and Lorna Hatfield and husband Bob of Barnsdall, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Lela K. Olson and one brother, Billy Olson.
