Arthur "Art" Byers passed away Friday, April 25, 2014. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2014 at the First Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Darren Melton officiating. Interment will be in the Dewey Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #105 Honor Guard. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Arthur Theodore Byers was born February 12, 1926 in Conway, AR to King David and Willie (Wilson) Byers. Art proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and Korea. He enjoyed his career as a barber and spent many years serving the Pawhuska and Bartlesville communities. His hobbies included painting, wood carving as well as being an avid fisherman.
Art is survived by two grandson's: Wayne Droigk and wife Chrisana of Okesa and John Droigk and wife Rebecca of San Diego, CA. Art was blessed with three great grandchildren: David, Mark and Hannah. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Art was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie I. Byers, daughter, Linda Droigk and sister, Mildred Capps.
