Mr. Elmer Alva Lively Jr., 85, of Dewey, retired Farmer and rancher, passed away at 7:39 P.M. on Friday, June 21, 2014 in Bartlesville.
Graveside Services for Mr. Lively will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday June 24, 2014 at the Dewey Cemetery, with Rev. Orville Moody, pastor of the Rose Hill Community Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Dewey Cemetery, under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Memorials have been established in his name to the American Leukemia Association 500 N. Broadway Suite # 500 Oklahoma City, OK. 73102, or to the Rose Hill Community Baptist Church 1259 N. 4000 Road, Dewey, OK. 74029.
Elmer was born on July 12, 1928 at Nardin, Oklahoma. He married Louise E. Teich on May 1, 1949, and they just recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. He farmed in Grant County for 20 years before moving to the rural Copan and Dewey area in 1966. He worked for J & S Foundry and 5 Star Industries for 14 years, while actively farming and ranching. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandpa. He was a member of the Rose Hill Community Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a great grandson. He is survived by his wife Louise of the home, by his son Steven Lively and his wife Christina of Dewey, and his daughter Susan Sears and husband Dwight of Nowata, Oklahoma, by four grandchildren and their spouses; Kyle and Diane Sears, Kurtis and Julie Sears, Teri and Matt Miller, and Sara and Chris Morgan, and Noah Opela; and by eight great-grandchildren.
