Billy Earl Conner, 69, of Wann, OK, passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning at his home.

Billy was born the son of Raymond and Bessie (Rosetta) Conner on February 14, 1945, in Sapulpa, OK. He was raised and educated in Kirbyville, MO, and earned his GED through the military in 1965. As a young boy Billy learned his trade as an auto mechanic from his father Raymond. He also was employed over the years with his brother at Conner's Auto Service. Billy served in the U.S. Army as part of the 68th Artillery at Ft. Bliss. There, he met Charmiel Rambaud and they were united in marriage on January 7, 1967, in El Paso, Texas.
Billy loved horses, fishing and the outdoors. Billy and Charmiel were married 47 and a half years. He loved spending the day at the rodeo with his grandchildren, spending the evenings with his friends and relaxing with his wife. Billy's great love for cars, racing and Dale Earnhardt was always evident, especially for his 1955 Chevy Bel Air.
Billy is survived by his loving wife Charmiel Conner of the home; one son Billy Conner Jr. of Branson, MO; four daughters Charlena Conner of Bartlesville, Carrie Vincent and Vince of Dewey, Barbara Dickard and Lonnie of Springdale, AR., and Angel Dodd and Bobby of Bentonville, AR; two sisters Ruby Carnelison and Mickey of Sacramento, CA, and Lavina Youngblood and Sherman of Bristow, OK; one brother Jimmie Conner and Shirley of Dewey; and a number of grandchildren who meant the world to him, as well as a host of other family and friends. Billy will be greatly missed by all. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Billy's family will receive friends at the Davis Family Funeral Home, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey, on Mon., Aug. 4, from 6-8 p.m. Celebration of Life services will be held 10 a.m. on Tues., Aug. 5, in the Chapel of the Davis Family Funeral Home with clergy Kevin Berg officiating. Military rites will be provided by James T. Teel, American Legion Post 105 Honor Guard.
