Paulene Bohannon, age 94, and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday in Bartlesville.
She was born in Dickinson County, Kansas, on February 16, 1920, the daughter of Levi S. and Bridget Anna (Morgan) Bohannon.
Paulene graduated high school from Valley Falls, Kansas. Upon her high school graduation, she furthered her education by attending Coffeyville Junior college and Kansas University where she attained her B.S. degree. In 1949, she began her employment with Phillips Petroleum Company, where she worked in the Research and Development Department. In 1985, she retired from the company after 36 years of loyal service.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she served on the Administrative Board. She was also active in civic and social groups in Bartlesville.
Paulene is survived by seven nieces and nephews, Kenneth Bohannon of Lebanon, Illinois, Ed Bohannon of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Leanna Sundquist of Wichita, Kansas, Sandra Kushner of Bridgewater, New Jersey, Donna Plunkett of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Lynn McConnaughey of Castle Rock, Colorado, and Bob Lightbody of Englewood, Colorado; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; three sisters; and a nephew.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 25, at 11:00 AM in Bartlesville First Church. 4715 S.E. Price Rd. Burial will be in the Pilgrim Cemetery in Hope, Kansas at a later date.
