Charles Edward Venable, 72, died Monday November 12, 2012 at his home in Bartlesville.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday November 16, 2012 in the Pentecostal Tabernacle Church in Bartlesville with Rev. Edwina Kidd officiating. Interment will be in the Ochelata Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Charles Edward Venable was born August 24, 1940 at Mansfield, Arkansas to Elbert and Margaret (Beshears) Venable. He was raised and received his education in Mansfield and Ft. Smith Arkansas, attending high school at Ft. Smith. Charles served in the U.S. Navy. He was married to Margie Elizabeth Carlile On May 5, 1960 at Poteau, Oklahoma they celebrated fifty-two years of marriage. Charles was employed as a truck driver for Consolidated Truck Lines for over 20 years retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle Church in Bartlesville.
Survivors include his wife Margie Elizabeth Venable of the family home; one son Juan J. Venable and one daughter LaShona Venable all of Bartlesville; one brother Jerald Venable of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; two sisters Neta Stewart of Barling, Arkansas and Lynette Wooldridge of Texarkana, Texas; five grandchildren Eddie Cheyenne, Melanie Tiara and Faith; one great-grandchild Kaden and several nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; three sons in infancy; one brother Lanny Venable and one sister Glenda Chandler.
