Wesley R. White, age 77, died January 2, 2013.
Wesley was born to Ray and Hazel White on August 9, 1935. He grew up in the Bar-Dew area where he lived and worked on the family farm. Graduated from Dewey High School in 1953. He then went on to oil production where he pumped oil until February 2012. Wesley loved to race Sports Midgets he raced Super Modified Midgets where he was High Point Champion and High Point Driver in 1969. An avid Bow Hunter he also loved to watch the deer. Wesley learned to water ski on Bar-Dew Lake he was also on the Bar-Dew Water board for 35 years. Wesley enjoyed racing with Brad and watching Tracy Rope. Milking cows with Kevin and 4-wheeling with Cheryl.
Wesley is survived by wife Jan of the home, two sons Brad and Grace White and Kevin & Randy White, two daughters Cheryl Stumpe and Jayleen Mayes, one grandson Kyle & Erin White Five Granddaughters, Taylor & Tessa White Jasmyne & Olivia Mayes, Ja'Net Harness and one great-granddaughter Katie Harness and two sisters Elayne Scott and Connie Hamm, four nieces and one nephew, several cousins and one friend that can never be beat Waymon Montgomery
He was preceded in death by his father and mother and two sons Tracy White and Aaron Stumpe. Memorial services will be at Stokes Cemetery at 12:00 PM on Tuesday January 8, 2013. Cremation arrangements were directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
