Sammy Roundtree Obituary
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jamie Kelly of the City Church, officiating. Cremation Arrangements and Services are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association, Attn: Lindsay Jordan 2448 E. 81st St. Suite #3000 Tulsa, Oklahoma 74137.
Sammy Roundtree, 71, of Bartlesville, OK, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Forrest Manor Nursing Center surrounded by family.
He was born on October 2, 1944 in Davenport, OK to Finis and Nellie (Jackson) Roundtree. On February 16, 1963 he married Nolver Catherine Whitley in Dayton, TX. He received his certificate of Ordainship from Rhema Bible College.
Sammy was a jack of all trades, working in the oilfield, as a Pastor, and later in life as a bus driver and janitor at Oklahoma Union Schools, where many of his grandchildren attended. He enjoyed fishing, jigsaw puzzles, wood working, participating in 5k races, and snuggling with his sweet dogs, Emmi and Scout.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy of the home; three children, Sammy (Debbie) Roundtree of Waynoka, OK, Thomas Roundtree of Bartlesville, OK, Robin (Kelly) Reese of Wann, OK, James Roundtree of Bartlesville, OK, and daughter in laws, Malea Roundtree and Marsha Roundtree; two brother in laws and one sister in law; thirteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters.
