Javon Reilly Obituary
Javon Reilly, age 16 of Independence, Mo., passed away on September 19, 2016.
Javon enjoyed playing football and basketball and had a very close-knit relationship with his mother and brothers. His favorite color was blue and he dressed very stylish and cared about how he presented himself to others. He touched the lives of many and will never be forgotten by family and many friends who attended Van Horn High School.
Javon leaves behind many to mourn his passing: His mother, Jackie Reilly; brothers, Jarred and Roy; sisters, Tiffany (Smith) Diggs and Tierra Reilly (Dwayne - Husband of Tiffany, and niece, Aniya Diggs); his Grandfather John Reilly; his Grandmother Mrs. Rice; his Aunt Jennie (Reilly) Anderson; Uncles Kelly Reilly and Howard Anderson; cousins, Daniel Anderson, Danielle (Haggard) Anderson; and nieces and nephew.
Service will be Friday, Sept. 30, at Maywood Baptist Church, 10505 E. Winner Road, Independence, MO 64052. Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m., followed by the service at 5 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at Hill Park, 2201 S. Maywood Ave., Independence, MO 64052.

Even if I didn't know you....you still inspired me to do more kind in the world it's almost been 4 years now I know how it feels to lose a loved one I lost my sister back in 2004 both my grandpa's in 2002 my step grandpa in 2019 what I have learned though the years is don't take time for granted and remember the memories you made yes you want to make so much more and I understand ❤ just remember these words what would he want you to do? And God took him for a very special reason and for a very special place.

I just wanted to say Javon that your such an amazing person you have always been there even when I was just destins little sister you still cared about me I have known you since I was just about to ststart kindergarten. You, Destin and me played in the basement for hours on hours and you basically lived with us in the summer. My dearest Javon. Its been 1 year and you are so missed. The memories we have of you are priceless. You were such an amazing young man. So full of life and so damn funny. I couldnt be mad at you even when I wanted to. Ill never forget when you and Destin were young and played football for BSAA. It was so fun watching you play. I remember on picture day you both wanted those footballs with your pictures so i secretely bought them and gave them to you guys for xmas. You were both so excited. Javon, I didn't really know u that well I've seen you in the hallways a lot and Ive noticed how u have treated people and that was with kindness. You were the kind of person to always make peoples day and we thank u for that. Cant believe its almost been a year since u left us but we really do miss you. The day i found out u had left us and found out it was u i was sad because we had last an amazing person. Javon I miss you so much man it's not fair. You were so sweet & funny & so loving. Everyday at school you had the biggest smile I'll never forget those gorgeous eyes or yours. I remember we got into a little argument over who's eyes were prettier. Of course I let you win because you were right. They sure were. I still picture you walking up to me & asking me if I had money Or food. Cause yenno you just had to eat all mine. Haha. But I didn't mind. You were going to go so far in life. Javon was more than just a friend to me. He was more like a younger brother. He was my best friend. I remember the times me had together. The jokes he told. He always had everyone laughing and always had a smile on his face. I remember him sitting in my car saying "it's so hot. But sorry your seats getting all sweaty bro" and laughed. He always told myself and others before he left you. "Love you bro" and gave you a hug. Myself he said that gave me a hug and kissed me on the cheek and told me to be safe.
