KENNETH PACKARD CHASE 1928-2013

Kenneth Packard Chase, 85, of Independence, Mo., passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo.
 
He was born January 23, 1928, in Ventura, Calif., to Paul and Mabel Swanke Chase. He served in the U.S. Navy, USN Reserves and USAF Reserves. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a BS in electrical engineering and an MBA.  He was employed at Kansas City Power & Light Company 35 years, where he retired in 1990 as Manager of Management Programs.
 
He was an Evangelist in the Community of Christ, and served as pastor of four congregations in Independence. as well as in other leadership roles.

He is survived by Jeanne, his loving wife of 56 years; daughter, Paula, of Boston, Mass.; and sister, Patricia Hubbell of Bend, Ore.
 
His family expresses their thanks to Centerpoint Comfort Care and St. Luke's Hospice House.
