In 1973 the family relocated to Blue Springs, Missouri, where she's remained the rest of her life with the exception of a few years when she lived very close, in Independence, Missouri. Mary served with distinction in the two premier purchasing associations for government employees, MACPP (Mid America Council of Public Purchasing) and MAPP (Missouri Association of Public Purchasing). Mary was instrumental in the growth and success of both organizations; serving as MACPP Treasurer, Vice President and President, 2004-2006, respectively and MAPP Treasurer, Vice President 2008-2010 and again as MAPP President in 2011. Mary was named as Purchasing Manager of the Year by MACPP in 2006 and By MAPP in 2012. Mary was awarded the highly coveted Linda D. Windsor, Distinguished Service Award by MAPP in 2009; an award reserved for only a few distinguished, highly revered individuals whom have served above and beyond the call of duty.
