David Gene Roark Obituary
David Gene Roark, 67, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Cremation is planned, with a memorial service to be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the F.O.E. #3717, 11424 E. 24 Highway, Sugar Creek, MO 64054.

David was born July 6, 1946, in Spokane, Wash., to Kyle D. and Alice (Haven) Roark. He had worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering, and most of all spending time with his family. He was a member and trustee for the F.O.E. #3717 in Sugar Creek and the Teamsters Local #41.

He is survived and greatly missed by his wife of 40 years, Marsha Roark of the home; 2 daughters, Rene Sullivan of LaRussell, Mo., and Jodi Roark of Independence, Mo.; a son, David Cleo Roark and wife, Johnna, of Mount Vernon, Mo.; a brother, John Roark and wife, Joan, of Atherton, Mo.; and 8 grandchildren, Branddon, Chance, Kyle, Colton, Dakota, Connor, Kyra and Kailee. He was preceded in death by a son, Ross Roark in 1995, a son-in-law, Brian Sullivan in 2014, a brother, Kevin Roark, and a sister, Bonnie Lee Roark.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Crossroads Hospice.
