Russell D. Earnshaw Obituary
Russell D Earnshaw, 74,  of Oak Grove, Mo., passed away February 14, 2014, at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday February 18, 2014, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2001 South Broadway, Oak Grove, Mo. Burial to follow in Floral Hills East Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St Jude's Catholic Church, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Heartland Hospice of Kansas City.

Russell was born July 27, 1939, in Shawnee Kan., the son of James (Jim) Russell & Mary Frances (Hartman) Earnshaw. In 1969 he married Betty Jean Stevens. Russell lived in Oak Grove Mo., since 1970. After graduating high school he drove a dump truck for his dad. That Fall he went to work for Hoehn Chevrolet as a Porter. The next year they sent him to General Motors Body School. He did body and fender repair for 32 years. He was in the National Guard for 6 years. In 1993, he built his own dump truck and leased out to Fleming & Babcock for 13 years. He retired in 2006. Russell enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and racing. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He held many offices for church activities and volunteered a lot of time to his church and community. He enjoyed life.

He is preceded in death by his Parents James & Mary Earnshaw, two sisters, JoAnn Hoehn and Sondra Wilson. He is survived by his wife, Betty and his three daughters, Shemene and her husband Burl Peckman, Christine and her husband Bill Hein, and Renee and her husband Richard Snider, two brothers, JD Earnshaw and Tommy Earnshaw, Six grandsons, a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
