Mary Vivian Blackburn Obituary
Mary Vivian (McQuerry) Blackburn, 92, a resident of Blue Springs, Mo., passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018.

She was born August 8, 1925, in Mayview, Mo., to Fred and Mary (Withers) McQuerry. Mary graduated from Grain Valley High School in 1943. She always enjoyed attending the Grain Valley Alumni Banquet yearly and reminiscing with old friends. Mary was united in marriage to Robert Blackburn Sr. on May 17, 1947, in Kansas City, Mo. She was in the laundry business for 55 years before her retirement in 2015. Mary owned and operated 40 & 7 Laundry in Blue Springs up until age 90. She was a member of Good Shepherd Christian Church in Blue Springs. Mary enjoyed traveling to Branson, working crossword puzzles, listening to country music, watching Hallmark movies and Dancing with the Stars.

Survivors include children, Linda Logeman of Blue Springs, Mo., Jan Claypole of Grain Valley, Mo., Bob Blackburn Jr. of the home, Sharon Humbird (Terry) of Sibley, Mo.; grandson, Jeff Davis (Kim) of Grain Valley, Mo.; step-granddaughter, Nichole Sims of Grain Valley, Mo.; great-grandsons, Kyler and Keegan Davis; step-great granddaughters, Brooke, Baylee, BriLeigh Sims.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Blackburn Sr.; parents; sister, Louise White; grandsons, Brent and Eric Logeman.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St., Blue Springs, Mo.; 816-229-3276. Burial was at Blue Springs Cemetery.
