FAIRBORN Maxine Williams, age 90 of Fairborn, passed away Thursday June 20, 2013. She was born July 1, 1922 in Lacey Creek, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Henry and Rosabelle (Johnson) Cox. Maxine was a longtime member of Enterprise Baptist Church in Fairborn; and a loving caregiver to over 100 foster children. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan in 1994; a son, James Phillip Williams in 2010; a grandson, Christopher Williams in 1997; four sisters; and a brother. She is survived by a daughter, Judie Perry and husband Carl of Fairborn; six grandchildren, Mike, Mecca, Kelly, Andrea, Chip, Rusty; thirteen great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Dayton for their loving care. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 25, 2013 at 12:00 noon in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Bobby Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Byron Cemetery. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
