FAIRBORN - Ernest J. Cooper, age 86 of Fairborn, passed away Thursday December 27, 2012 in the Emeritus at Fox Run. He was born April 19, 1926 in Worthington, Kentucky, the son of the late Simuel B. and Gracie E. (Hamm) Cooper. Ernest served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was employed with General Motors as a machine repairman, retiring after 37 years of service. He was a longtime member of the Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene and was an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ovie and Lloyd Cooper; and a sister, Evelyn Callihan. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Fern; three children, Constance (Jimmy) Mayne of Florida, Carolyn (James) Calahan of
Fairborn, Michael E. Cooper of Tipp City; six grandchildren, Angela (Michael)
August, Melissa (Mitchell) Stinson, Ginger (Rob) Justus, Kelly (Joseph) O'Donnell, Renee (Michael) Gibbs, Bradley Cooper; nine great-grandchildren, Shelbi, Erin, and
Samuel August, Allyson Stinson, Zach and Alex Justus, Maggie and Libby O'Donnell, Alexis Massey; two brothers, James (Jane) Cooper of Arizona, Kenneth Eugene (Penny) Cooper of Georgia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other
extended family. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 2, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene, 1850 N. Fairfield Rd., Beavercreek, Pastor Keven Wentworth officiating. The family will receive friends
from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Interment with military honors will follow in the Valley View Memorial Gardens. Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn. Condolences Vmay be made to the
