FAIRBORN Born on December 23, 1930 Anastatia Halfacre died in her sleep during the early hours of September 13, 2013. An active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church during the past two decades she wanted to live a life of service both within the church and outside of it. Anastatia provided care to a number of different persons - sometimes for many years at a time. Admired for her cooking skills she happily contributed them to the community Sonset free meals program and to church functions.
Surviving this petite and delightful lady is her sister, Phylora Bolander; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Young; her daughter, Melita Smith, and grandsons, Reuben Smith; Tyler Smith and his wife, Tracey; and Elliot Smith. Anastatia's granddaughter and her spouse, Karina and David Beeker and their sons, Mason and Dylan, complete Anastatia's living family. Those family members who will reunite with her in heaven include her parents, Robert and Grace Young; her husband, Walter A. Halfacre; her brother, Myron Young and her son, Charles Kenneth Massey. Debra Geier and Jen Lyman were close friends and have faithfully served Anastatia during her final months of life. Anastatia willed her body to the Wright State School of Medicine.. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, October 19, 2013 (3:30 pm) at St. Mark's Lutheran Church (100 East Main Street; Fairborn, OH) officiated by Pastor John Place.
