XENIA Douglas Lynn Miller, Sr., 64, of Xenia, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 27, 2013 at the Greene Memorial Hospital. He was born in Dayton November 16, 1948 the son of Robert A. Sr. and Evelyn I. (Brown) Miller. Doug graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1967. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps and was a decorated Viet Nam Veteran, serving as a communication specialist. He is a member of the Xenia Elks Lodge 668, Past Exalted Ruler and trustee, member of the Beavercreek VFW and the Eagles. Doug retired after 39 years service with Ohio Bell.
Doug is survived by his four loving children and their mothers, Douglas L. Miller, Jr. and his mother, Rose Cox of Bonnieville, KY, Travis A. Miller, Xenia, Candice A. (Randy) Hildebrand, Xenia, Constance E. (Kendall) Strohl, Xenia and their mother, Sheila Lyn Miller, Springfield, brothers and sisters, Robert A. Jr. (Betty) Miller, Hillsboro, Suzanne (Steven) Combs, Waynesville, Danny (Debra) Miller, Huber Heights and Terry (Cynthia) Miller of South Charleston, his mother-in-law Barbara Wolfe Tankersley, two best friends, Steve Cukovecki and Russ Puckett as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. All that knew Doug loved him and will miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 1PM Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit Street, Xenia with Steve Combs officiating. Burial will be in the Mt.
