XENIA — Harold Kenneth Rittenhouse, 79, of Dayton, passed away February 12, 2014 at his residence. He was born November 9,1934, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of Franklin Harold and Pauline Helen Hunt Rittenhouse. He was a member of VFW Post # 5283, Huber Heights, AMVETS, and retired as a civil engineer from WPAFB in 1998. He is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela K. (Randy) Miller, Charlotte, NC, Candi (Russell) Bocook, West Carroilton, Karen Teresa Rittenhouse and BetteJane Russell, both of Xenia, two sons. Brent Rittenhouse, Palm Harbor, FL, and Kent Rittenhouse, Charlotte, NC, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy (Ernest) Easterling, Xenia, and Carolyn (Robert) Carter, Morristown, TN, numerous nieces and nephews, and by many close friends, including a special friend, James Ambos, Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents, by the mother of his children. Colleen K. Rittenhouse, by two sisters, Janice Frieden and Linda Lou Easterling, and by a brother, David Rittenhouse. Harold will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Graveside services will be held at 10:30am, Wednesday, February 19, at Spring Valley Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to the Fairview Primitive Baptist Church, 2353 Ferry Rd., Bellbrook, following the graveside service for a luncheon.
