BRADENTON, Fla., — Roger D. Jewett, age 70 passed away May 16, 2014 in Bradenton, Florida. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on September 13, 1943. He graduated from Xenia High School in 1961. He was a member of the VFW and the Moose Club. Roger served four years in the US Air Force serving one tour of duty in Southeast Asia. He was an avid Karaoke singer and flew radio control airplanes. He was a small aircraft pilot and built a one seated experimental plane. He was preceded in death by his mother Viola, father Russell Jewett, and brothers Leroy, Bobby and Jerry. He is survived by son Scott and his wife Tracy, daughter Tracy, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also survived by brothers Billie and Harold. Burial will be in the family cemetery near Rarden, Ohio. In memory of Roger contributions may be made to a .
