William P. "Billy" Farthing

XENIA William P. Farthing "Billy", of Xenia, was born on August 29, 1950 and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 16, 2013 at the age of 62. He was born in Richmond, Kentucky to James and Dorothy (McQuary) Farthing. He was employed at Unison for 9 years. He previously worked at U.S.I. and Kimberly Clark. Billy enlisted in the United States Army in February 1969 where he served his country honorably during the Vietnam Conflict serving until November 1971. He was a proud veteran who enjoyed riding his Harley and playing golf. On the weekends he could be found watching the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State football games. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He was a great man whose contagious laughter will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He left behind a legacy built on integrity, loyalty and love. He is survived by a sister, Deborah Worthington & husband Steve. Nieces: Pamela Callahan & husband Mike and Jeanine Offer & husband Henry. Nephews: Robert Huston & wife LeJean and Charles Huston. Billy also had a host of close friends including, Ron Shearer, Fred Sherman and Jerad Robinette. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sons, Justin and Travis Farthing. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the Dayton National Cemetery with Elder Jason Robinette officiating. Final resting place will be at the Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio. Services are in care of McColaugh Funeral Home Inc. 826 N. Detroit St. Xenia, Ohio 45385.
