FAIRBORN — Harold D. Shaver, age 79, of Fairborn Ohio was called to Heaven on Saturday March 8th, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born in West Liberty Kentucky on November 3rd 1934 to Rufus and Malisie Shaver. He was married for 54 years to his loving wife Judy (Myers) Shaver. Harold served 3 years in the United States Army and was a decorated Korean War Veteran. He was an active fisherman and hunter and enjoyed reading Western Novels. Harold is preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Malisie Shaver; his siblings and some of their spouses James Shaver, Carl and (Maggie) Shaver, Charles Lee Shaver, Jewel and (James) Williams, Olene Dinnen, Josephine and (Gaylord) Mills, and Stella Jenks; his special brother-in-law Bert A. Myers; his infant daughter Christina Shaver; and his infant great-grandson Dillon Shaver. Harold is survived by his wife Judy Myers Shaver of Fairborn; his children Tony and (Diana) Shaver, Melissa Washburn, Russell Shaver, Mark Shaver, and Glen Shaver (Lisa Lainhart), all of Fairborn; his siblings Denny and (Joanne) Shaver of Fairborn, Kenny and (Linda) Shaver of Fairborn, and sister Ethel and (Frank) Tatum of Beavercreek; his sister-in-law Mildred Shaver, and brother-in-law Frank Jenks. Harold leaves behind 13 grandchildren; Laurie Lee (Jason) Barnes, Amanda (Victor) Tirado, Rachel Shaver (George Perry), Amy Shaver, Christopher Shaver, Darrell Shaver (Jessica Rigney), Lindsay Shaver, David Shaver (Jackie Reynolds), Stephanie (David) Saulsberry, Jennifer Shaver, Mary Grace Washburn, Mark Shaver Jr. and Walter Washburn; 6 great-grandchildren; Colton Louderback, Alexander Shaver, Andrew Tirado, Logan Stephens, Hayden Perry, Sophia Saulsberry with 1 step great-grandson Giovanni Perry. Harold also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Victory Temple in Fairborn on Wednesday March 12th, 2014. Visitation for family will be at 9:00 am, and friends will be received at 10:00 am with services to follow at noon. Harold will be laid to rest at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn.
