Jewell A. Perry Amyx

FAIRBORN Jewell A. Perry Amyx, age 82, departed this life December 7, 2012. She was born in West Liberty, Kentucky in Morgan County to the late Chandler and Mary Elizabeth Fugett Perry. Jewell was also preceded in death by the love of her life, Cortis Amyx, her brother, Greene Co. Deputy Donald G. Perry and a loving Step Mother, Pearl Francis Perry.

Jewell was the devoted Christian Mother of Brenda (Ron) Lewis, Danny (Karen) Amyx and Terry (Michelle) Amyx. She was an extremely proud Grandmother to Nathan (Donna) Lewis, April (Derek) Pollock, Erin (Turk) Baldwin, Erika (Jamie) DeBorde and a loving Great Grandma to Skyler Lewis, Declan Pollock, Braylin DeBorde, Tavin Baldwin and Addisyn DeBorde.

Jewell is survived by sisters Ella Fyffe and Helen Evans of Eaton and special nephews and nieces, Clyde & Glenda Fyffe and Scott & Jennifer Loper and numerous cousins, friends and nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed and will remain in the hearts of all family and friends she leaves to follow her. She loved being a great wife, mother and grandmother and to that, she gave her ALL, leaving each feeling cherished and loved. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting and cooking for her family.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Dayton for all the care and their tremendous support over the past three years. Thank you Chaplain Randy Reed, Rachael, Robin, Tena, Brenda, Nancy and Barbara. You are the best of the best. Our heartfelt thanks also goes to Jewell's devoted friend and caregiver, Dottie Owsley. Thank you to everyone for helping us to "love her home" with your prayers and care.

A gathering of Family and Friends will take place from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the Fairborn Freewill Baptist church, 16 Edna Avenue in Fairborn, Ohio on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00pm with the Rev. Dr. Stuart Snow officiating. Burial to follow at Byron Cemetery. Neidhard Snow Funeral Home, 937-318-1800, is serving the family of Mrs. Amyx.
