JAMESTOWN Louise Ruth (Lambert) Williams, 77 of Jamestown, Ohio went to be with the Lord Sunday evening at Hospice of Dayton after a long illness. She was born in Duffield (Lee County), Virginia on August 9, 1935 the daughter of Hubert Lambert and Maude E. (Vaughn Lambert) Newton. Louise worked at the Ohio Bell for many years but spent most of her life being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She had a passion for charitable, religious and political organizations.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James Earl "Jim" Williams. Two sons - James D. and wife Rhonda (Steward) Williams of Denver, North Carolina and Jeffrey Daniel and his wife Cheryl (Arrasmith) Williams of Grove City, Ohio. Granddaughter Sara Nicole Williams and grandson Daniel Scott Williams also of Grove City, Ohio. Brother Leonard Lambert of Dayton, Ohio and his children Steve, Joe and Billie Lynn, nephews Gary B. and Roy Williams Jr. Loving Aunts and Uncles Nell /Clyde Hawkins, Rosalie Fannon, Jeanette Crenshaw, Billy Vaughn and Sister-in-law Katherine (Williams) Barton along with several nieces, nephews and cousins and special cousin Joy Barnes who she spent lots of time with. She will be missed by her family, friends and neighbors.
Louise was preceded in death by their infant daughter Yolanda Cheryl, her father Hubert Lambert, her mother Maude and Step Father Estel Newton. One brother Samuel Joseph Lambert, Brothers in-law Roy Williams and A.T. Barton. Special grandparents Samuel and Bessie (Reynolds) Vaughn and the many other aunts and uncles that she grew up with on Powell Mountain; Virgie Bledsoe, Donna "Ethel" Skaggs, Stella Litton, Hazel Collier, Bobby Vaughn, Milo Vaughn, and Sam M. Vaughn. Uncles Claude, Fred, Tom Ben, George, Gay and Snoot Lambert and Aunt Unia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday May 16, 2013 at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 North Detroit St., Xenia, OH with Reverend Samuel Miller officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday May 15 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Silvercreek Township Cemetery in Jamestown, OH.
