Mary Hall Obituary
XENIA Mary A. Hall, age 85, of Xenia passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at her residence. She was born October 2, 1927, in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of George and Rachel Sims.
She worked for the US Government until 1956. She was a member of the Xenia Church of Christ on Country Club Dr.; and member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mary owned and operated the family farm for over 49 years, and with her son, she owned and operated Hall's General Store for over 22 years. For the last five years, she volunteered at the Xenia Adult Recreation and Services Center and the Board of Elections.
She is survived by her 6 children: Roger (Lisa), Patricia, Kathryn, Donald (Donna), Burell (LeAnn Javins), and Ronald (Jamie); 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother: Robert Sims; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank C.; son: Jeffery; and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 8th from 5-8 PM at the McColaugh Funeral Home Inc., 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastor Charles Forsythe officiating. Interment to follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45420. Online condolences can be made at www.mccolaughfuneralhome.com. To the Hall Family, Your Mom was a special person who will be dearly missed. I'm glad to have gotten to visit with her when I visited Ohio in 2011. She was always good to us Brown Boys. Love Rick!
