XENIA Velma Turner, age 85, of Xenia, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties in Franklin. She was born June 28, 1927 in Xenia, the daughter of Lawrence and Bessie (Caldwell) Fry.
Velma was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Arthur and Lester Fry.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Turner; her daughters: Joyce (Royce) Rains and Sue (William) Akiyama; grandchildren: Rhonda (Garrett), Brandon, Jonathan, and Grant.
She had been a member of the Spring Valley United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, January 10, 2013 at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Warren and Butler Counties.
