Virginia Ann "Ginger" Hawkins

XENIA Virginia "Ginger" Ann Hawkins, 75, passed away Sunday night, October 7th, 2012, at Greene Oaks, Xenia after a battle with cancer. Ginger was born March 17th, 1937 in Wilmington, Ohio. She graduated from Martinsville High School and retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Family oriented, and hardly ever seen without a smile, Ginger was known for her inner and outer beauty. She loved quilting, line dancing and gardening and received awards from the city of Fairborn for her beautiful flowers and landscaping. She is survived by a daughter, Kelly (Joe) Creech, a son, Kyle Kraupie, four grandchildren, Kristi Ritchie, Derek Ritchie, Joe Kraupie, and Jordan Kraupie. Her step-children include, Bret (Barbara) Kraupie and Royce (Shelley) Kraupie, Roger Hawkins, Diana (Roger) Ellison, Elizabeth Zamora and Russell (Renee) Hawkins, a sister, Pat Eakins, a nephew Kevin (Jackie) Eakins and many close friends. Preceding her in death were her husband, Richard Hawkins, her mother, Dorothy Fox, her father, Ronald Fox and her beloved pets Pepper and Sam. A private viewing will be held; however, no services are planned. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton (324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420) or Faircreek Church (2400 Faircreek Ridge Dr., Fairborn, Ohio 45324).
